Pressure and Temperature: The Most Important Difference
The slip connection has one weak point: the O-ring. Ball valves rarely need maintenance beyond periodic operation. A small amount of scale or mineral build-up on the ball can make the handle hard to turn. If any of these conditions are present, choose a standard connection:
